Brümilda van Rensburg :
Film , TV ,and Stage actor , acting award-winning South African actress Brumilda - academy owner

Graduated her BA Drama (Cum Laude) and BA (Honours) Drama (Cum Laude*) degrees at the University of Pretoria (Tshwane) Drama department and twice won the University's coveted Ludwig Binge award for her achievements in the dramatic arts. At school her acting talent was already apparent and she became the first pupil ever to be awarded school colours for acting. Although born in the South African town Phillippolis and raised in Pretoria, she loves the Cape and worked with CAPAB in Cape Town for three years after university before moving to Johannesburg to freelance. While with CAPAB her role as Cassandra in The Orestian Trilogy, won her a prestigious Fleur du Cap award.

Her husky voice, faultless frame and sultry looks, make her the ideal "femme fatale" and yet she's played a nondescript schoolgirl (Grietjie in "Voortreflike Familie Smit"), a bitchy feminist (Annie in "Last Summer at Bluefish Cove"), a rather plain farmer's wife in "Wêreld sonder Grense", as well the frail Blanche in Streetcar named Desire. It is however, her interpretation of the bitchy Adele in the TV series "Wolwedans in die Skemer" that made her a household name with South African viewers.

In the "Binnekring" she played a political journalist and that earned her an Artes award, and  "Binnekring II" followed.

The rich publisher in "Ballade vir 'n Enkeling II" followed by Judith, a mother whose baby was stolen in "Stolen Lives" Favourite rolls were PORTIA in the MERCHANT OF VENICE and her DALRO-AWARD performance Antigone.

Two features ("Dancing in the forest" and "Brutal Glory") have been released at the Cannes Film Festival. She was honoured yet again, winning a Vita Award for her work as Marie in "Exit the King" It is however, not only the acting fraternity who appreciate her talent - the public has twice nominated and won her the  "Most popular SA female actress" award. Time permitting she teaches drama and does motivational speaking across the country. She has hosted her own radio talk show on Punt Radio for a year.

Starring in Egoli as Louwna Vorster for almost 18 years on DSTV 's  M-Net TV Channel everyday at 6 pm, watched by 41 million people also in Africa, Brumilda as Louwna has become a household celebrity face and name to south Africans.

She has 12 years of dance training (modern and classic) to her name and is an avid language student (French and German) Brümilda has also directed some inserts for the SABC. She has produced 3 plays for the arts festivals and also played the lead in "Om ‘Goodbye’ te sê" in London to standing ovations. London was also the location for filming her latest International Film as one of the leads.

Brümilda's recently completed her shooting schedules in two Feature Films (in production in SA).

She is also expanding her training expertise to the Corporate worlds and with her Acting Drama Academy giving so many students filming opportunities that has made her an reputable lecturer and training facilitator.
Brümilda recently did a special masterclass at Ophra Winfrey's School for Girls in South Africa as a guest lecturer.

Brümilda's Academy's Training has expanded into a "national brand" with students flying in from all over South Africa to attend courses and classes. For Brümilda this is very special, as this enables her to give others opportunities to learn and empower themselves as well....
